LWA is the contracted supplier of assessment validation services and professional development workshops under the SEE Programme funded by the Department of Education and Training.

LWA provides independent verification services in all Australian states and territories. This involves supporting continuous improvement among Training and Assessment Providers with regard to training, assessment and reporting.

Client assessments and supporting materials are examined and reviewed to ensure:

  • clients have achieved claimed Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF) indicators
  • the ACSF has been accurately applied

LWA designs and conducts 30 SEE Programme Professional Development Workshops annually, in all capital cities and many regional centres across Australia. The workshops give professional support to teachers and assessors working in the SEE Programme in understanding and application of the ACSF in the assessment process.

SEE Programme

Following all Independent Verifications (IVs), LWA provides detailed feedback sessions to SEE Programme provider staff, followed by a comprehensive IV written report. These processes are designed to build provider expertise with a clear understanding of successes and matters to be addressed to support continuous improvement. LWA are happy to discuss any Provider concerns in relation to IV outcomes.

The SEE Programme Appeals Process is outlined in the SEE Provider Contract. SEE providers may request an appeal if they consider the results of the first IV to be unjustified. To initiate the process, please contact the Department of Education and Training See Programme Contract Manager (SCM) in your state. The SCM will determine whether the request for an appeal will be accepted.
