Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP)

 

AMEP | Adult Migrant English Program | An Australian Government Initiative

LWA is the contracted supplier of assessment validation, quality assurance services and professional development workshops under the AMEP funded by the Australian Government Department of Home Affairs.

LWA provides verification and quality assurance services in all Australian states and territories. This involves supporting continuous improvement for AMEP service providers with regard to training, assessment and reporting.

About the program

The Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP) is a free service to help eligible migrants and humanitarian entrants with low English levels to improve their English language skills and settle into Australia. To find out if you are eligible or how to enrol, please phone or visit your local AMEP office or campus. The AMEP is funded by the Australian Government.

The AMEP Virtual Hub

The AMEP Virtual Hub, previously known as the AMEP Assessment Task Bank (ATB), is an online repository of resources available to practitioners in the Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP), the Skills for Education and Employment (SEE) Program, Foundation Skills for Your Future (FSfYF) Program and Remote Community Pilots (RCP).

In addition to the training and assessment resources developed for AMEP providers, the Hub also hosts other resources, such as professional development workshops and training sessions, Communities of Practice, teaching resources and good news stories. The AMEP Virtual Hub is funded by the Australian Government Department of Home Affairs.
